Attend the Miva Merchant Conference for only $299

Chuck Lasker is a speaker and MerchantTutorials.com is a sponsor of the 2009 Miva Merchant Conference in San Diego February 26-March1, 2009. Sign up before February 15th for only $299 and save $100!

I have attended many of these annual conferences and I can tell you it's worth it for users, store owners, developers, consultants and anyone else who uses Miva Merchant on a regular basis. The classes this year look even better than last year's, with a ton of hands-on help to focus on what the attendees are needing help with. The conference is a day longer, too, for more learning opportunities. This comes from company management listening to suggestions from last year!

The networking opportunities are very helpful, too. If you use modules, you can actually speak with the module developers. If you're looking for a consultant, all the consultants worth hiring will be there. And this is an opportunity to speak directly to the top management of Miva Merchant about any problems, issues or feature requests.

If you attend, be sure to stop by our table, check out our sample tutorials we'll have running, and pick up some free stuff (a surprise!).

Unbelievably fantastically awesome blog

Okay, I find sites with a cool tip or two. Sometimes a tutorial, a set of templates, something useful. But I have never come across a site so packed with useful and free stuff - Photoshop, Icons, WordPress, Tools, How-To and more. There's not a lot to say, other than that anybody who does computer work should check this out.

Do you Twitter? If not, you should!

Not only have I been having a fantastic time with Twitter, I've been developing some great relationships with highly interesting - and influential - people. I don't have a particular agenda, as many Tweeps do with ongoing sales pitches. Instead, I'm just being myself, chatting with others, seeing where it takes me. I spend a bit too much time on it, I admit, but it is more enjoyable than television or the news. Whether or not anything professional or financial comes out of it, I believe it's worth my time.

If you are on Twitter, you can follow me here:

http://www.twitter.com/MerchantTuts - Where I Tweet about Miva Merchant and MerchantTutorials.com

http://www.twitter.com/chucklasker - Where I Tweet about personal things and marketing/social networking

There are a ton of tools that help make Twitter easier to use. As you can see, within only a few weeks, I've gotten very far in my Twitter "success:"

http://twitter.grader.com/ChuckLasker - At this moment I'm the 31st most "elite" Twitterer in Indiana, right above the Governor. Sweeet!

Won't you join me? If you do, follow me, I'll follow you, and then let me know if you need some help with etiquette questions or technical questions.
